In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commanded His followers to “make disciples of all the nations.”   At North Park we understand this command from the Lord and it is something in which we are actively involved.  Our church also follows Christ’s directive from Acts 1:8  - to continually be on mission locally, regionally, and around the world.

North Park continues to be a presence for missions in our own community.   North Park leads several events, such as soccer camps and bible clubs during the year.  The Lord has allowed our church to reach many children and families with the truth of the Gospel with these types of projects.

The Lord has allowed our church to share His love and His Gospel in the United States.  Efforts such as disaster relief has been one such way.   North Park is involved with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.  In the last couple of years we have sent individuals and teams in Texoma, southern Texas, and Louisiana to give aid to those who were in desperate need.   In order to be a volunteer with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, proper training is required.  David and Marcia Hayes, here at North Park, are directing those who would like more information and training in disaster relief efforts.

The Lord also continues to open doors for international mission trips.  Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Sierra Leone include some of the countries to which North Park members have traveled.

We’re also thankful to support two full-time missionaries who are a part of North Park Baptist:

* Rob Casey is the president and founder of “Go Send Me Global”.  This is a missions organization that recruits, trains, and sends out missionaries across the world.   Rob also gives on-going training and support to missionaries who are already on the field.  GSM leads several short-term international  mission trips throughout the year.

* Jeremy Fontaine serves full-time in Nicaragua.   Jeremy works with a number of ministries and groups to assist them in a variety of ways.  Whether operating tools and machinery, driving a tractor, building new roads and sidewalks – his behind-the-scenes labor equips others to accomplish their work for the Kingdom.

There number of ways to be involved in local, regional, and international missions while serving at North Park.    Do not hesitate to contact us and find out how you can serve.
