NP NURSERY
North Park Nursery “NP Babies”

Birth - 3 yrs old

Deuteronomy 6:5-7:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

NP Babies embark on their journey toward lifelong learning and leadership in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. Young children are constantly moving, touching, and investigating. By using developmental toys, age appropriate Bible Lessons, and music, the adult volunteers/staff workers kick start learning through experiences, imitation, and repetition.

We join with you in a vital task: the nurturing of your child's development. It is important for each child to be raised by Christ-following parents. North Park has developed goals and standards for ourselves in this area. Our goals include providing your child with the physical care and spiritual training which will build within them the biblical concept of Jesus and His Church. Let our Body of Christ join you in discipling your child/children!

What To Bring for the Nursery:

When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:

    â–ª    Two or three diapers

â–ª    A complete change of clothes

â–ª    Bottle of milk, formula, juice or water (this is a good practice even for mothers who nurse).

Please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippee cups) with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class. This helps us keep track of your child's items.

When You Arrive at Your Child’s Room:

A nursery leader will meet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag and any other items. They will check your child into the room and verify a phone number to make sure that we know how to contact you in case of an emergency.

As you know, it is normal for the little ones to cry when a parent leaves. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will provide interest through the tools of a toy or activity to give assurance that you will return. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will text you.

Snacks Provided:

Snacks are provided for toddlers. The snack items consist of gold fish for children 12-18 months and granola bars for children 19 months and older. If your child has an allergy, please inform the leader when you check in your child.

Curriculum:

We believe that babies are actively receiving and learning information since they were born! Regular learning experiences are planned and lessons are reinforced by songs, Bible thoughts and supervised activities. The Bible is used in all departments. We use Lifeway's Bible Teaching for Kids curriculum for babies. Each child takes home an age-appropriate Learner Guide so families can extend teaching at home!

Parenting Tips:

We seek to assist parents in the spiritual growth of children. Bible Steps will be given to parents so they can review with their child throughout the week.

Pickup Procedures:

We will only allow the child’s authorized parent or guardian to pick up their child. Please make sure that all of your child's personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises.
