What We Believe
Our basic beliefs are pretty simple:
We believe in Christ, and Him crucified.
We believe in the inerrancy of scripture, the responsibility of the believer, the amazing GRACE given to us, the call to evangelism and missions, and importance of the Church.

Though we are connected through cooperation to the Southern Baptist Convention, The Southern Baptists of Texas, The Baptists General Convention of Texas, and the Grayson Baptist Association, we remain an independent church under only the Lordship of Christ.
How can I be saved?
Call on the name of the "Lord"
The Bible teaches us that we are loved and cherished by God. We learn in scripture about our need for a savior, and that Jesus died as a sacrifice for sin. We are also taught in scripture that Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day, and that changed everything. Salvation is available to us because of the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ. (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 15:3)
If we trust in the sacrificial death of Christ, and the resurrection to new life in Christ, we can be saved. Romans 10:8-13 teaches us:
“8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
